Homework

Research by the Educational Endowment fund suggests that homework can have a positive effect on pupils' progress in primary school.

At Sandhills Primary School, the welfare of our children and their progress are of the utmost importance to us and we want to ensure that all children have the opportunity to achieve their potential both academically, so that they are ready for the next stage of their school career, and in their own personal development as individuals and citizens of the future. At Sandhills, homework is an opportunity for pupils to extend their knowledge and to improve their fluency in key skills that have already been taught in the classroom.
